If you need to replace a lost Decree Absolute or require an extra copy for legal reasons including Remarriage, Pension Applications etc you are able to order an official duplicate through our website. If you are unsure of the Year and Court where your divorce was granted a 10 year search (eg 1970-1979) of divorce records will be undertaken to locate and supply an offical court stamped copy of the Decree Absolute and the cost is £79.00 plus postage. However, if you already know the court and case number details the cost is only £30.00 for England/Wales and £40 for Scotland plus postage and you will receive a part-refund of the full amount paid when the document is dispatched
Depending on the information and search years provided dispatch to you is normally between 15-25 business days. Records of divorces were not generally computerised until apx years 1998-2000 therefore records prior to this are archived and need to be searched and retrieved manually. However, if you already know the court and case number details a copy of the divorce certificate will usually be mailed within 12-15 business days.
